Hi there,

I just happened (happily!) upon your blog, via a link from Michelle Malkin's. I graduated with an MLS from Indiana University's School of Library & Info. Science (SLIS) in 2003 and became aware very quickly of the liberal orthodoxy that pervades librarianship. It seems much worse than in other academic areas. When confronted with the choice to join the ALA, it took me about 5 seconds to decide I would never send that organization my money. (This was when the Supreme Court was deciding ALA v Ashcroft.) Anyway, I read your article in the Chronicle with delight, and I look forward to following your blog and the others Malkin linked to.

Thanks for your outspokenness!

P.B.I. is excellent. Thanks for the tip. And I agree with David L. I won't be sending ALA my money either. The Governing Council is very disfunctional because of the Lefties promoting their agenda

Thanks for mentioning me, HL. I'm trying to get my blog off the ground, if only for therapeutic reasons.
