Podhoretz: The Condensed Version

Three weeks ago, I posted a link to Norman Podhoretz's terrific essay on the origins and background of the War on Islamist Terror, and the strategy that the Bush Administration has formulated for defeating the jihadists:

World War IV: How It Started, What It Means, and Why We Have to Win

Having read this essay, I cannot recommend it highly enough. However, it is over 50 pages long, so many of you might not have the opportunity to read it all. Fortunately, Opinion Journal has now published a condensed version of Podhoretz's essay:

Enter the Bush Doctrine

In this shortened version, Podhoretz lays out what he calls the "Four Pillars" of the Bush Doctrine. I cannot excerpt or summarize further while still doing his arguments justice, so I can only encourage you to read it for yourselves.
