Final Thoughts on USA-Grenada

A 3-0 win for the US. The second half was almost an exact copy of the first. The final shot total was 34-6, and 17-1 in corner kicks. Frankly, we should have won by more, but our finishing was awful. Too many shots directed weakly at the keeper, or wide of the target. To echo my halftime thoughts, Grenada do deserve some credit. They are a fast, strong, athletic team. Jason Roberts is a handful up top. Playing at home in what will be an incredibly emotional atmosphere, the Spice Boyz will be a difficult opponent in the second leg. Fortunately, I think the USA did enough today to secure advancement, but barely enough.
